Fees and Funding

Young Haymakers is a registered setting within the East Sussex Early Years Development & Childcare partnership (EYDC) and registered with OFSTED.

Each term Young Haymakers makes a claim for an Early Years Education Entitlement (EYEE) on behalf of all eligible children attending our Kindergarten, according to the number of sessions they attend.  To support the claim, parents will be asked to sign a Parental Declaration Form shortly after the commencement of term.

EYEE funding is available for children in the term following the term in which they are 3 years old.   Funded hours may be taken Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 1.00pm to 4.00pm and Wednesday 12.00noon to 3.00pm which means those sessions are FREE!

Because children are being funded, our term dates must fall into line with local education authority school dates.

  • Spring Term   totalling  11 weeks
  • Summer Term totalling 13 weeks
  • Autumn Term totalling  14 weeks

In order to make 15 hours a week available to parents of funded children Free we have regrettably had to increase our fees to recoup the shortfall paid by the local authority. (East Sussex are currently paying £3.50 per hour).

FEES FOR: 2 & 3YEAR OLD (NON FUNDED) CHILDREN - £7.00 per hour

Fees are payable each term in advance on or before the first day of term

or by instalments by arrangement.

Registration Fee - £30.00     Cheques payable to: T. Pepper

*ONE TERM’S NOTICE OF REMOVAL IS REQUIRED*

 Funding :

There are two streams of funding available for childcare, click on the links below to read about these schemes.

Early Years Education Entitlement
All parents of three and four year-olds are entitled to government money for their child's nursery education. This is known as the Early Years Education Entitlement (EYEE).

What does the EYEE pay for?

It pays for up to 15 hours a week at any EYEE registered pre-school provider.

The EYEE is funded over three funding periods a year and covers 38 weeks:

  • Autumn, 1 September - 31 December (14 weeks)
  • Spring, 1 January - 31 March (11 weeks)
  • Summer, 1 April - 31 August (13 weeks)

When can my child start to receive the EYEE?

A child is entitled to start receiving the EYEE from the start of the funding period after their 3rd birthday.

So long as your child is enrolled with us at the beginning of the funding period after they turn three you will be able to make your application. This is a short form called a ‘Parental Declaration' which we will then send on to the EYEE team for you.
